Family is a group of two or more people who have natural and emotional bonds who live together in harmony, each member of the family has a special role to play, parents are role models for their children because parents are the main educators for their children. The focus of the problem in research is what is the role of parents in the career development of post-school deaf children in the BCD Special High School Jember Disabled Children Development Foundation, while the method used by researchers is a qualitative method. data collection methods through observation, interviews and documentation for the validity of the data researchers used source triangulation and method triangulation. The conclusion from this study about the role of parents in the career development of deaf children is very necessary because without the guidance of parents children who are deaf cannot develop properly, while the supporting factors are the child's own parents, teachers, and also the facilities provided at school. the inhibiting factor is parents who work too much and don't have time for their children, so they don't have time to give their full attention and study at home
