Efektivitas Metode Fonetik pada Layanan Konseling bagi Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus di Yayasan Matahari Banyuwangi

The phonetic method is a branch of linguistic studies, which specifically studies sound components that are more specific or more specific from the study of physical aspects (speech delivery, speech and sound reception) and functional aspects. Based on the data obtained, this phonetic method is rarely used in various school institutions, so many people feel strange when they hear the word phonetics. Therefore, researchers want to know the effectiveness of the phonetic method for children with special needs at the Matahari Banyuwangi Foundation.The research focus in this study is 1. How are counseling services implemented for children with special needs at the Matahari Banyuwangi Foundation? 2. How effective is the phonetic method for children with special needs at the Matahari Banyuwangi Foundation?.This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative approach in the form of a case study. The data collection technique used in this research is interviews. The sampling technique in this research is a techniquepurposive sampling. This research reached the following conclusions, 1. The type of counseling service for children with special needs at the Matahari Banyuwangi Foundation is individual counseling services. Each lesson, the tutor holds 1 child with various diagnoses for a period of 1 hour, and there is an assessment every 3 months to review the progress of their students. 2. The phonetic method used for children with special needs at the Matahari Banyuwangi Foundation is that the phonetic method used at the Matahari Banyuwangi Foundation is a type of auditory phonetics which generally uses videos in its learning. The phonetic method is a flexible method, meaning it can be done anywhere, even at home. And the phonetic method is an effective method for introducing letter sounds to children with special needs. It was proven that out of 8 children, 3 children with special needs experienced good verbal development.
